With their thick refractory fireclay floor and vault, Ardente range ovens are designed primarily for flame cooking: pizzas, grills, papillotes, kebabs, etc.
Would you like to vary the pleasures and prepare bread, buns, a gratin or a nice stew from time to time? It’s possible, and even advisable! Just allow for a slightly longer pre-heating time. The refractory vault and floor will then release sufficient heat for these gentle cookings for more than 12 hours!

Features of the Ardente range of wood-fired ovens.

Chamotte roof and hearth
The roofs and floors of these 3 kilns are made from refractory chamotte fired and crushed in France.
The masons at Four Grand-Mère then add water and aluminous cement to this clay to obtain a refractory mixture. For added strength, they also incorporate stainless steel fibres throughout.
Thanks to this slightly surprising ‘recipe’ and all our know-how, our bread and pizza ovens are much stronger and more durable than those made from fine terracotta.
The proof: they come with a 10-year guarantee!

Wood-fired ovens delivered fully equipped
All our ovens are available in a fully-equipped version. This includes complete high-quality insulation for the roof, and an 8 cm slab of vermiculite for the hearth.
The equipped version also includes a cast-iron outer door and connecting nozzle, as well as a high-performance thermometer (top thermometer for the Flamme and Grand Flamme, or laser thermometer for the Extra Flamme).
Assembly
An oven to decorate or delivered with a tailor-made outfit.
Easy to assemble and dismantle, all our wood-fired ovens are delivered in kit form.
Our kits include just 3 to 6 pieces of refractory fireclay that simply need to be assembled without masonry work, with detailed installation instructions.
After that, you’re free to decorate your oven to your own taste, with personalised plasterwork, brickwork, stonework and more.
Prefer an oven that’s already dressed? Four Grand-Mère also offers the option of 3 ready-to-assemble claddings.
The hood: traditional resin cladding adapted to all our models.
Available for our 3 pizza ovens and barbecues, the Hood is a white cladding with classic lines. Made from a composite material (fibreglass and epoxy resin), it can be installed indoors or outdoors.
All you need to do is tell us the model of oven you want, and we’ll deliver a casing that’s perfectly adapted to its dimensions. The casing, which is originally white, can be repainted in the colour of your choice using a simple acrylic paint.

Le Dôme: design trim with chimney for the Grand Flamme
New for 2024 from Four Grand-Mère, the Dôme is a vault-shaped cladding in powder-coated steel. The front and back are black, while the body is available in 6 colours: purple red, coral, water blue, forest green, mouse grey and beige.
The Dome is supplied with a 180 mm diameter chimney and a cap.

The Nestor shell and base: XXL design dressing for Extra Flamme.
This white hull with its curved lines, inherited from the Nestor design oven model, is made from composite resin. Lightweight and washable, it is perfectly weatherproof.
The black base is specifically designed to fit the dimensions of the hull. The front of the base features a strip for hanging various accessories and kitchen utensils.
